08/30/2007: In South Waziristan, Pakistan, the Taliban ambushed a Pakistani military convoy and kidnapped more than 100 Pakistani troops. On September 5, 2007 six of the soldiers were released as a good will gesture by Taliban leader Zulfiqar Mehsud.
