11/05/2007: The Secretary to the State Government in Ondo, Nigeria, was kidnapped by militants belonging to the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND). He was released uninjured six hours later. The weapons used in the kidnapping were not reported. The attack caused no casualties.
