Incident Summary:

05/07/2008: On Wednesday, in one of two related attacks, in Tripoli, Liban-Nord, Lebanon, assailants fired rocket-propelled grenades and firearms at government soldiers and public places, killing one child, at least 40 civilians and soldiers; wounding 11 civilians, at least one child, and several soldiers; and damaging a building and several cars. The cars were being used as roadblocks on the road to the airport. Hizballah claimed responsibility.
