Incident Summary:

05/30/2008: On Friday evening at 18:00, Indian Ranbir Sena militants hurled a small bomb at a rally as Maoist leader Prachanda gave a speech two days after the monarchy was abolished, close to the open air theatre at Ratna park in Katmandu, Bagmati province, Nepal. The explosion, which made a loud noise, caused no damage or resulted in any casualties. Another bomb was also detected at the site which was defused by police. Pamphlets were left behind in the bombing attack in which Ranvir Sena claimed responsibility for the incident.
