Incident Summary:

07/16/2008: On Wednesday afternoon, at about 1600, near MV-126 village, in Malkangiri, Orissa, India, assailants detonated a landmine improvised explosive device near a police anti-landmine van and then fired upon it, killing 20 Special Operations Group police officers and damaging the vehicle.No group claimed responsibility, but it was widely believed the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) was responsible.
