Incident Summary:

08/13/2008: On Wednesday night at 2334, in Allama Iqbal Town, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, at a crowded city square, a suicide bomber detonated the improvised explosive device strapped to his body, killing eight civilians and two police officers; injuring 21 officers and 19 civilians; and damaging a mosque, several buildings and several vehicles. No motive was reported and no group claimed responsibility, although it was widely believed the Taliban was responsible.
