Incident Summary:

08/17/2008: On Sunday, eight National Liberation Army members detonated an explosive device at the home of Vice President Parmanada Jha in Kathmandu, Nepal. A plastic hand grenade, high explosive ranges of 3600-4200 splinter and double bearings were used to create the explosive device. A bodyguard was injured and some windowpanes were damaged in the explosion. Five people were later arrested for the bombing. The motive behind the attack was unclear.
