Incident Summary:

09/13/2008: at 0800 on Saturday, a landmine remote detonated when the vehicle carrying the governor of Lowgar, Abdullah Wardak, passed near it in Paghman, Kabol, Afghanistan. The governor was killed along with two to three of his private security guards, and his vehicle was damaged. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
