Incident Summary:

09/28/2008: On Sunday, unknown assailants detonated a roadside improvised explosive device targeting the convoy of Kurdish Mayor Ahmed Zarkoush in the downtown neighborhood of al-Khadraa, Sa'adiya town, Diyala province, Iraq. The roadside bombing attack injured the mayor, the mayor's relative, three of his body guards, and two civilians and caused an unknown amount of damage to the mayor’s convoy of vehicles. No claim of responsibility was made for the incident.
