Incident Summary:

01/09/2009: On Friday, Lord's Resistance Army fighters attacked the Congolese village of Kana, in the Orientale province. According to reports, 20 people were killed in the attack. The LRA have been attacking villages in response to a massive, multinational, military operation targeting their bases and hideouts in three countries. No group claimed responsibility although it was widely believed the Lord's Resistance Army was responsible.
