03/21/2009: On Saturday, in several villages including Yanguma, Orientale, Democratic Republic of the Congo, armed assailants using machetes killed 12 civilians and kidnapped between 40 and 60 others including children, the status of the hostages is unknown. No group claimed responsibility, although it was widely believed the Lord's Resistance Army was responsible.
