03/31/2009: On Tuesday at 1030, in Sorsogon, Philippines, using a .45-caliber pistol, two unknown gunmen riding on a motorcyle opened fire on Edelina Jerus, a member of a human rights group, outside her residence in the village of San Juan, killing her and causing no damage. There was no motive reported and no group claimed responsibility, but the New People's Army is suspected.
