Incident Summary:

06/30/2009: On Tuesday afternoon at about 1730, unknown assailants detonated a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device in a Kurdish outdoor vegetable market in the Shurjah district of northern Kirkuk, At Ta'mim, Iraq, killing 35 civilians, injuring 95 others including several children, and damaging 17 shops and houses. No group claimed responsibility, although the Islamic State of Iraq was suspected of perpetrating this attack.
