Incident Summary:

09/03/2009: On Thursday, in Sudan, assailants set fire to two of the houses of Sudan People's Liberation Movement/Army (SPLM/SPLA) Maliouk battalion leaders, killing the leader's wife. The second house targeted in the attacks belonged to another officer who was the leader's neighbor. Twenty SPLA soldiers were also detained in the attack. No group claimed responsibility, although it was widely believed the Sudan People's Liberation Movement/Army (SPLM/SPLA) was responsible.
