Incident Summary:

08/31/2010: On Tuesday, in Kandahar city, Kandahar province, Afghanistan, a remote controlled improvised explosive device hidden on a motorcycle killed Kandahar's Hajj and Endowment Directorate and his body guard, as well as injuring two Afghan civilians. The Muslim leader, Mohammad Hassan Taimuri, was responsible for managing Islamic religious institutions and arranging pilgrimages to the Islamic holy cities of Mecca and Medina. The attack caused an unknown amount of damage and no group claimed responsibility.
