10/01/2010: On Friday, in Abuja city, Abuja Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria, in one of two linked attacks, four people were killed and 13 were injured when militants detonated a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device in the Eagle Square. The attack targeted a parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of independence. One vehicle was destroyed and the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta claimed responsibility for the attack.
