Incident Summary:

11/30/2010: On Tuesday evening around 2030, in the Keithelmanbi area of Senapati, Manipur, India, unidentified militants abducted the Manipur Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF), identified as S Singsit. Reportedly, Singsit was taken from his mother-in-law’s house along with his brother-in-law in a Maruti car. The brother-in-law was released shortly thereafter, and Singsit was transferred to a motorcycle. The PCCF was injured in an accident and was rescued and taken to the hospital. No group claimed responsibility, but it was suspected that United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) militants were responsible.
