01/31/2011: On Monday afternoon, near the Indo-Bangladesh border in an unspecified location in Tripura province, India, unidentified militants shot and killed a government official of the National Building Construction Corporation identified as C. N. Muni. His driver was also injured during the attack. According to police, militants on the Bangladesh side of the border opened fire at Muni’s jeep, causing an unknown amount of property damage. No group claimed responsibility, but it was suspected that National Liberation Front of Tripura militants were responsibility.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
