Incident Summary:

04/02/2011: On Saturday, in Omagh, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, 25 year-old constable Ronan Kerr, was killed outside his home when an improvised explosive device detonated under his car. It is believed that the officer was targeted because of his job and religion. The amount of monetary damage caused is unknown. One person has been charged in connection with the attack and a breakaway group of the Irish Republican Army claimed responsibility through a statement to the Belfast Telegraph.
