Incident Summary:

06/30/2011: On Thursday afternoon at 1330, in the Chawni area of Kandahar city, Kandahar province, Afghanistan, Abul Haleem, the provincial head of the Department of Hajj and Religious Affairs, was shot and killed by unknown gunmen. The gunmen shot Haleem from their motorcycles and managed to flee the scene. No group claimed responsibility but the Taliban was believed to have been responsible.
