Incident Summary:

07/05/2011: On Tuesday, in Taji, Salah ad Din, Iraq, in one of two related attacks, an unknown suicide bomber detonated a vehicle borne improvised explosive device targeting a municipal government building where national identification cards were issued. The blasts killed 35 people, wounded 58 others, and caused an unknown amount of property damage to the building. The Islamic State of Iraq, an al-Qaida-linked group, claimed responsibility for two attacks in a statement posted on its website on 07/19/2011.
