Incident Summary:

08/30/2011: On Tuesday, in the Al-Kud village, Abyan, Yemen, unknown assailants detonated an improvised explosive device targeting the convoy of General Muhammad Nasser Ali, Yemen's Minister of Defense. The blast killed two of his security guards, wounded two others, and caused an unknown amount of property damage to the convoy. No group claimed responsibility.
