12/5/2011: Prominent cleric, Sheikh Ahmed Hajji Abdirahman, was assassinated as he was leaving a mosque in Bosaso, Bari, Somalia. Unknown gunmen shot at him using a pistol. While the attack has not been officially claimed, it is believed that Al-Shabaab is responsible.
