Incident Summary:

03/31/2012: An explosive device planted along a road detonated in Gizab district, Uruzgan province, Afghanistan. Two council members and one police officer were killed in the attack. This was one of two roadside explosions that targeted council members in the area on this day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, local officials attributed the attack to the Taliban.
