04/04/2012: A suicide bomber attempted to detonate an explosives-laden vehicle in Abuja city, Abuja state, Nigeria. Security personnel stopped and arrested the driver before he could reach the comptroller-general, Alhaji Dikko Inde Abdullahi, the intended target of the attack. No group claimed responsibility for this incident; however, authorities suspected the assailant was a member of Boko Haram.
