08/31/2012: An explosives-laden vehicle detonated near Sheri mosque at the Matani bazaar in Peshawar city, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. At least 12 people were killed and 20 others were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources suspect that the Taliban was behind the attack. The group denied any involvement in the incident.
