Incident Summary:

10/30/2012: An assailant dressed in an Afghan police uniform opened fire on a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) patrol in the Malgir area of Gereshk district, Helmand province, Afghanistan. Two NATO soldiers identified as members of the British Royal Gurkha Rifles were killed in the attack. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that the assailant was a Taliban infiltrator.
