12/31/2012: An explosive device detonated inside a government girls' middle school in the Bakharabad area of Jamrud, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. The school's night guard was killed and the building was damaged in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Muslim fundamentalists.
