12/31/2012: Assailants on a motorcycle threw a grenade at a contingent of Special Action Force (SAF) officers in Lamitan City, Basilan province, Philippines. Two officers and one civilian were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities suspect that Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) was involved.
