04/00/2013: Sometime between April 1, 2013 and April 30, 2013, assailants abducted Sergey Gorbunov, a Russian engineer, from an unknown location in Syria. Gorbunov was executed on an unspecified date in March 2014. Jaish al-Muhajireen wal-Ansar (Muhajireen Army) claimed responsibility for the incident and demanded the release of Khaled Suleiman, an imprisoned Saudi Arabian national, in exchange for Gorbunov.
