Incident Summary:

04/03/2013: An explosive device was discovered outside of the home of Suresh Raut, a planning officer at the District Development Committee (DDC), in Siraha district, Eastern development region, Nepal. The device was removed before it could detonate. A commander for the Terai Communist Party claimed responsibility for planting the device, saying that the group targeted Raut because he was involved in extensive corruption as a member of the DDC.
