Incident Summary:

04/09/2013: Approximately 200 assailants ambushed a United Nations (UN) peacekeeping convoy in Gumuruk village, Jonglei state, South Sudan. Five Indian peacekeepers and seven UN civilian workers were killed in the attack. Nine other people were wounded. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, government officials attributed the attack to the David Yau Yau militia.
