07/21/2013: Assailants abducted Ahmed Nour Ahmed in Sanaa city, Amanat Al Asimah governorate, Yemen. Ahmed, a cultural counselor at the Iranian embassy in Yemen, was successfully rescued on March 5, 2015. No group claimed responsibility; however, officials suspected that the attack was carried out by Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
