Incident Summary:

08/03/2013: Assailants abducted three pilots after their helicopter made an emergency landing southeast of Nyala city, South Darfur state, Sudan. The helicopter was delivering supplies for the African Union-United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) when it went down. The three pilots were released on August 27, 2013. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities attributed the abduction to the Minni Minnawi faction of the Sudan Liberation Army (SLA).
