Incident Summary:

08/10/2013: Assailants attacked a private vehicle and abducted the son of Bakht Bibi, an Afghan senator for Ghazni province, on Kabul-Kandahar highway in Muqur district, Ghazni province, Afghanistan. At least eight people, Bibi's son-in-law, one civilians, and six assailants, were killed during the incident. The outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, an Afghan official attributed the attack to the Taliban.
