Incident Summary:

08/10/2013: Assailants abducted parliamentary woman Fariba Ahmadi Kakar and three of her children from their vehicle near Ghazni city, Ghazni province, Afghanistan. The three children escaped, unharmed, in a security operation on August 12, 2013. On September 7, 2013, Kakar was released in exchange for the release of several Taliban prisoners and their family members. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
