08/20/2013: Assailants attacked Dr. Narendra Dabholkar in Pune city, Maharashtra state, India. Dr. Dabholkar, the founder of the Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti (Committee for the Eradication of Blind Faith), was killed in the assault. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Sanatan Sanstha.
