Incident Summary:

08/21/2013: A suicide bomber detonated at the home of Abdul Satar Noorzai in Lashkar Gah city, Helmand province, Afghanistan. Noorzai, the commander of the Afghan National Police (ANP) First Battalion, was not harmed in the attack, but at least two people were killed and at least three police officers were injured. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, government officials attributed the incident to the Taliban.
