Incident Summary:

09/01/2013: A roadside bomb detonated near a Pakistani military convoy on Miranshah-Datakhel Road in Boya area, Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Pakistan. At least nine Pakistani soldiers were killed and 20 others were injured in the blast. Abu Baseer, a spokesperson for Mujahideen Ansar, claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that it was in retaliation for a drone strike the previous day, which killed four members of the Turkistan Islamic Party.
