Incident Summary:

09/03/2013: Assailants attacked a checkpoint in Batis district, Abyan province, Yemen. In the ensuing exchange of gunfire, two assailants and one Popular Resistance Committee member were killed in this attack. No group claimed responsibility for this incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
