Incident Summary:

09/04/2013: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle near a regime checkpoint at the entrance of Maaloula, Rif Dimashq governorate, Syria. Eight soldiers, in addition to the assailant, were killed in this attack. No group claimed responsibility for this incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Al-Nusrah Front.
