Incident Summary:

09/09/2013: Assailants fired mortar shells targeting the district commissioner's building on a Somali Federal Government military base in Yaqshid district, Mogadishu city, Banaadir region, Somalia. There were no reported casualties resulting from the ensuing clash. This was one of two similar attacks on military bases in the city on the same night. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to Al-Shabaab.
