09/11/2013: Gunmen attacked the deputy chief of the province's counter-terrorism agency in central Kirkuk city, Kirkuk, Iraq. Colonel Aiden Moussa was killed in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspect Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
