Incident Summary:
09/16/2013: A suicide bomber in an explosives-laden vehicle detonated in Nesterovskaya stanitsa, Ingushetia, Russia. Police officers attempted to stop the vehicle, at which point the assailants opened fire. The vehicle detonated during the ensuing firefight. At least one officer and one assailant were killed, and one officer was wounded in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
Criterion 2

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
