Incident Summary:

10/09/2013: Assailants detonated at least one explosive device at the home of a police officer in Hawijah district, Kirkuk, Iraq. This was one of 18 bombings that occurred at the homes of security personnel in one of three villages in Kirkuk on this day. There were no reported casualties resulting from the attacks, although the buildings were damaged. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected that Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) was behind the attack.
