10/17/2013: A sniper opened fire on Major General Jamaa Jamaa, a senior Syrian intelligence officer, in Deir ez-Zour, Syria. Jamaa was killed in the attack. The Aisha bin a-Sadiq Brigade and the Al-Nusrah Front both claimed responsibility for the incident.
