10/17/2013: Assailants attacked a security base in Al Bayda governorate, Yemen. At least eight soldiers were killed and 21 others were injured. This was one of three attacks on security targets in the area on this day. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
