Incident Summary:

10/24/2013: Assailants opened fire on a Lebanese Army patrol when the soldiers tried to stop their vehicle in Hawsh al-Harimeh, Beqaa governorate, Lebanon. The soldiers returned fire, killing two assailants, one of whom was wearing a suicide vest, and wounding two others. The security forces were responding to a tip that individuals were in the area with a large amount of explosives; after the exchange of fire, it was discovered that one of the perpetrators was wearing an explosive vest. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.
