11/13/2013: Assailants opened fire on the mayor of Fallujah's convoy in Fallujah, Al Anbar, Iraq. The mayor, Adnan Al-Jalbawi, was killed and two of his bodyguards were injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
