Incident Summary:
11/11/2013: Assailants attacked residents in Yazza village, Borno state, Nigeria. This was one of six coordinated attacks on villages in Borno within a short period of time. According to villagers, the attacks began on November 11, 2013 and ended on November 13, 2013. At least 26 people, including three assailants, were killed and 40 houses were set on fire across all six attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources speculated that Boko Haram was involved.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
